FlexiSpot E7 Electric Standing Desk — Stability Test
Standing desks under $500 typically wobble. The E7 is the exception. Dual-motor lifting and a steel frame cross-brace hold the desktop stable at 49” height with a 28-lb monitor setup on top.
Wobble measurement
At full standing height (49”) with a 27” monitor, keyboard, and small speaker, lateral wobble measured under 3mm — acceptable for typing, camera work, and standing calls. The cheapest Uplift configurations wobble 6–8mm at the same height.
Programming the memory presets
The E7 includes 4 height memory slots. Set slot 1 for seated (28”), slot 2 for standing (43–45” for most users). Anti-collision stops the motor if it hits an obstacle while lowering.
Cable management
The included cable tray mounts under the desk. At 21”, it’s long enough for a 4-outlet power strip and most monitor cables. The grommets are positioned well for monitor arms.
