Editor, ChairWise
Nate Brennan
Former occupational therapist specialized in ergonomic assessments. Now writes about chairs, desks, and the unglamorous hardware that decides whether your back still works at sixty.
Nate Brennan practiced as an occupational therapist for twelve years, the last five focused on ergonomic assessments for corporate and home-office workers. He started ChairWise after the 2020 shift to remote work made ergonomic hardware a household decision, not an HR concern.
Nate tests every chair, desk, monitor arm, and keyboard across eight reference body types and three working styles, for a minimum of sixty days per product. He buys at retail. He accepts no manufacturer samples. He will tell you to skip a $1400 chair if a $400 alternative actually does the job for your specific body.
